Which VPS to choose, Linux or Windows?

It depends on the web hosting panels you are going to install. If you want to use cPanel/WHM or DirectAdmin, you have to go for a Linux VPS. Parallels Plesk Panel can be installed either on Windows or Linux.
Currently servers running one of Linux distributions are most polular for the security or economical reasons. Most Linux distributions are free but for a Windows installation you'll need to buy a license to activate it.
